Your water

Your water is not everyone's water.

Hardness is geology, and it changes street by street. What a shower filter is worth to you depends on which water comes out of your wall.

Three things that change the answer

We will publish regional guidance once the finished product has been independently tested. Until then we would rather explain the variables than pretend one product suits every tap.

Where you live decides your water

Hardness is geology. Stockholm sits around 64 mg/L, which is soft; parts of Skåne run past 180 mg/L, which is hard. Much of Germany, the Netherlands and southern England are harder still. The problem you have depends on where you are.

Your shower type decides compatibility

VANNR ONE replaces a fixed showerhead on a wall arm. If you have a handheld on a hose and no fixed arm, it is not for you, and we would rather say so now than at installation.

Hardness and chlorine are different problems

Soft water can still be treated with chlorine or chloramine. Hard water can arrive barely disinfected. They are separate questions, and a filter that helps with one may do nothing for the other.

When testing is done we publish what VANNR ONE reduces, and under which conditions. Founding-list members see it before it becomes marketing.
